Susan C. & Jeanne U.

You know what’s awesome? Seeing the quilts you make from my patterns!! Send me your photos! I’d love to showcase them!!

Susan C. made a Denim Circle Rag Quilt for her son. She wanted her blocks to be bigger than those in the pattern so she purchased new denim. Lucky for us, she was willing to share her formula for increasing the size of the materials so I’m passing this information along here!

She cut the following sizes:

  • 13″ denim circles
  • 9 1/2″ fabric squares
  • 8 1/2″ fusible fleece squares (optional)

As you can see in the photo below, the quilt came together perfectly using these modifications. She determined these dimensions through trial and error so a big thank you to Susan for sharing this info with us!

As mentioned above, she was able to cut extra large denim circles by purchasing denim on the bolt. Also, as you can see, she used a variety of light, medium and dark denim. Nice!!

A stunning quilt for a very lucky son!! Thank you for sharing Susan!

Jeanne U. also made a Denim Circle Rag Quilt. Her version featured Seattle SeaHawks colors!

This is a true fan quilt and was made for a VERY lucky grandson’s birthday! She even made matching pillowcases (see bottom pic) all with two weeks to spare before the actual birth date!

Here in Reno we’re sort of obligated to be 49er’s fans but after seeing this quilt, I would gladly snuggle up underneath it and root for the Seahawks!

Thank you for sharing Jeanne! This is one Gorgeous quilt!
